After a defensive mix-up in Carterton's zone, Luisinho Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clever Ovie came out of the goal and Luisinho Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Eliseu Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot. TLMPs2's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseu Cardozo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clever Ovie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osar Etete made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseu Cardozo got free with Clever Ovie in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Eliseu Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot. TLMPs2's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseu Cardozo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clever Ovie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st minute, Eliseu Cardozo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Clever Ovie, passed just outside the right post. In the 86th match minute, Carterton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gbenga Dimeji to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, TLMPs2's Clever Ovie threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luisinho Cunha, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 94th minute, Luisinho Cunha reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Clever Ovie. The goal made the score 4-2. The Carterton support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
