Alexandria's Robinho do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gbenga Dimeji in the 11th minute of play. Robinho do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bola Ezeafulukwe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adrianinho Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After having played for 16 minutes, Oséas Cerezo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alexandria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oséas Cerezo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Anísio Fantini kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Clever Ovie. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game. One of Alexandria:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carterton:s goal. In the 28th minute, Osar Etete got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th minute, Gbenga Dimeji hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oséas Cerezo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bola Ezeafulukwe hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute Léo Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clever Ovie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baltazar Lima during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Robinho do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chikadibia Bature in the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osar Etete in the 65th minute of play forced Alexandria's goalkeeper Robinho do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Carterton booed when Alexandria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anísio Fantini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gbenga Dimeji who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Robinho do Vale when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Carterton booed when Alexandria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrianinho Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Carterton could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Alexandria throughout the match.
