In the 3rd match minute, Basmakci was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sarp Toygun to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Basmakci's zone, Christof Wagner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fuat Ünseven came out of the goal and Christof Wagner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yunus Özberk took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joseph Bamberger. Joseph Bamberger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 16 minutes, Orhan Veli Boz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Basmakci and the Horsham United players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Horsham United's Julien Drachmann in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Basmakci's goalie prevented a goal. 19 minutes into the match, Horsham United's goal looked a bit too open when Batıhan Başesgi came free, but Joseph Bamberger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julien Drachmann in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fuat Ünseven prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 21 minutes, Jan Borchard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Horsham United and the Basmakci players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Horsham United's Jan Borchard got a free kick in the 21st minute. Horsham United's Joseph Bamberger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mustafa Oğuz Pamiroğlu in the 22nd minute of play. If Jupp von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 28 minutes into the game, when Claus Behrend put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Basmakci a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tacettin Şevki, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Horsham United's Joseph Bamberger. 0-2. Batıhan Başesgi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Bamberger having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Horsham United's goal looked a bit too open when Yunus Özberk came free, but Joseph Bamberger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Basmakci booed when Horsham United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Lützel didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Basmakci's Mustafa Oğuz Pamiroğlu in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st match minute, Horsham United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Hundhammer to maneuver through the defense. Joseph Bamberger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustafa Oğuz Pamiroğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Joseph Bamberger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Acun Uğuray in the 57th minute of the match. With a little luck, Horsham United's Joseph Bamberger got control of the ball when Yunus Özberk tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julien Drachmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fuat Ünseven having to interfere. Jupp von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fuat Ünseven read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 minutes of play, Basmakci's Acun Uğuray made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joseph Bamberger was left in no man's land by his defense there! 66 minutes into the match, Horsham United's goalkeeper Joseph Bamberger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Batıhan Başesgi. Joseph Bamberger was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mustafa Oğuz Pamiroğlu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 68 minute of play. Acun Uğuray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Joseph Bamberger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 played minutes Horsham United got a freekick which was hit by Maximilian Walch. Joseph Bamberger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mustafa Oğuz Pamiroğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horsham United's Joseph Bamberger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Horsham United from getting a goal against them. In the 80th play minute Batıhan Başesgi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Joseph Bamberger. 0-6. In the 83rd minute Mustafa Oğuz Pamiroğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseph Bamberger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 minutes of play, Basmakci's Yunus Özberk made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joseph Bamberger was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Mustafa Oğuz Pamiroğlu came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Basmakci fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mustafa Oğuz Pamiroğlu couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Batıhan Başesgi took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Joseph Bamberger to make any attempt to save it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Basmakci walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
