Maqwathini's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Oséas Cerezo scored to the left of an out of position Boyisani Nkadimeng, making the score, 1-0. Adrianinho Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Boyisani Nkadimeng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Sipho Mafuna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robinho do Vale was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Boyisani Nkadimeng made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrianinho Gonçalves in the 13th minute. Oséas Cerezo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Boyisani Nkadimeng made a huge save. Boyisani Nkadimeng was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Waldemar Pinho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Waldemar Pinho really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Robinho do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nkosi Thompson, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Robinho do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maxwell Mufadi in the 34th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nkosi Thompson in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robinho do Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th match minute, Alexandria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrianinho Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Alexandria's goal looked a bit too open when Maxwell Mufadi came free, but Robinho do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boyisani Nkadimeng made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Oséas Cerezo sent off a good shot on target. Boyisani Nkadimeng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrianinho Gonçalves in the 41st minute of play. Nkosi Thompson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Nkosi Thompson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47th minute, Adrianinho Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robinho do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nkosi Thompson, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nkosi Thompson to make the kick off. Sipho Mafuna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Robinho do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adrianinho Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Boyisani Nkadimeng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alexandria. After 57 minutes, Legako Kerns mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maqwathini and the Alexandria players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th minute, Legako Kerns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, Oséas Cerezo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Boyisani Nkadimeng. Maqwathini's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oséas Cerezo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséas Cerezo in the 62nd minute of play forced Maqwathini's goalkeeper Boyisani Nkadimeng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Alexandria's Oséas Cerezo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boyisani Nkadimeng narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Maqwathini's Henry Smith got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 67th minute of the match Waldemar Pinho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Boyisani Nkadimeng skillfully saved the ball. Adrianinho Gonçalves got his second yellow card in the match during the 69th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Léo Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sipho Mafuna during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Maqwathini was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sipho Mafuna to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th match minute, Alexandria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osmar Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Alexandria defense, Maxwell Mufadi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robinho do Vale. The Alexandria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robinho do Vale should have stopped the shot. Waldemar Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maxwell Mufadi took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robinho do Vale. Robinho do Vale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3.
