Serafim Catranides might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Atahan Balon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Muchachos del 86's goalkeeper Atahan Balon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serafim Catranides in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atahan Balon saved Los Muchachos del 86 from getting behind. Atahan Balon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafim Catranides in the 18th minute of play. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Alfonso Gilabert sped through Los Muchachos del 86's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Atahan Balon. Los Muchachos del 86's Atahan Balon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernard Ochabski in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute Damian Honesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Chorche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Alfonso Gilabert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Atahan Balon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Alfonso Gilabert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Atahan Balon having to make a save. The supporters of Defensores del Ángel Gris booed when Los Muchachos del 86 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albino Peruanton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfonso Gilabert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, Los Muchachos del 86's Damian Honesto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Uriel Chorche narrowly saved just below the crossbar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Honesto couldn't finish the play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Defensores del Ángel Gris's Romulo Blai in the 91st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Atahan Balon was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Los Muchachos del 86 through an amazing save. Asiz Soon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Uriel Chorche having to make a save. After 96 minutes, Luka Ljubenković made it 3-5 with a short kick to the right side. Defensores del Ángel Gris's Uriel Chorche tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Defensores del Ángel Gris supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Defensores del Ángel Gris would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
