The audience was convinced that Thomas Sundberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eustacio Beliran was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jim Kråk in the 32nd minute of play forced C.A.JORGOVAN's goalkeeper Eustacio Beliran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Henk Van Linthout managed to get in a good position for a shot. BK Ugglan's supporters rose to their feet, but Henk Van Linthout was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eustacio Beliran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eustacio Beliran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Sundberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute of the match BK Ugglan got a corner. C.A.JORGOVAN's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Despite this Eustacio Beliran quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Eustacio Beliran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henk Van Linthout's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. In the 43rd minute Jim Kråk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustacio Beliran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonzalo Hoya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Gustav Norberg made a huge save. BK Ugglan's Gustav Norberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Lope in the 45th minute of play. After a rather tough play, C.A.JORGOVAN's Arsenio Jurdan got a free kick in the 47th minute. Dong Ting Fan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eustacio Beliran having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
With his leg Eustacio Beliran managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when BK Ugglan's Henk Van Linthout fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gustav Norberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Hoya in the 55th minute of play. When C.A.JORGOVAN's Gonzalo Hoya, in the 56th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for C.A.JORGOVAN. BK Ugglan were furious when Urban Wennerlund was red carded, 58 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 57th minute, one of BK Ugglan:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for BK Ugglan. 59 minutes into the game, Gonzalo Hoya cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1.
