A collision led to Partizan getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Nestor Nazario hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Peter Linkhorst's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Costel Lăcătușu was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Partizan's Costel Lăcătușu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Ununger in the 14th minute of play. Pascual Ferrer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Armstrong having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Partizan's Rony Rustikov ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Patrick Armstrong. Patrick Armstrong yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 23rdth minute of the game Peter Linkhorst who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Partizan's Costel Lăcătușu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Robert Ununger kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Robert Ununger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Costel Lăcătușu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Våleman, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The referee ignored ManagerZone Crew's protests and gave Anderson Schulle a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to ManagerZone Crew getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Anderson Schulle hit a great ball. Rony Rustikov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Partizan's Edmondo Farina got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Pascual Ferrer made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Ferrer in the 51st minute of play forced ManagerZone Crew's goalkeeper Patrick Armstrong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Partizan's Costel Lăcătușu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Partizan from getting a goal against them. When Robert Ununger came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the ManagerZone Crew fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Ununger couldn't finish the play. Patrick Armstrong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmondo Farina in the 69th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peter Linkhorst in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Costel Lăcătușu saved Partizan from getting behind. In the 72nd minute ManagerZone Crew were awarded a corner. Adrian Våleman went to the cornerflag to take it. Patrick Armstrong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rony Rustikov in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th match minute, Partizan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Swartenbroekx to maneuver through the defense. After 93 played minutes, ManagerZone Crew's Andreas Spante shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Costel Lăcătușu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ManagerZone Crew reached it. Partizan's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
