In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Opus Dei's goalkeeper Hugon Raszkiewicz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Poland's Tolek Kiszkiel got control of the ball when Ma Lin Qing tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Degutis in the 29th minute of play forced Poland's goalkeeper Tolek Kiszkiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lech Pisarcik hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Denis Degutis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Poland's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
