Ozon Fc's Edvin Skålberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Ozon Fc from getting a goal against them. FC LIVERPOOL's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Boguslaw Hoffman in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Asım Suat in the 8th minute of play forced FC LIVERPOOL's goalkeeper Tommy Thompson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ozon Fc getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ahmet Reha Parskan hit a great ball. Tommy Thompson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Semi Akdoruk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Des Bancroft hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute Wilfredo Eneko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvin Skålberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Ozon Fc's Edvin Skålberg got control of the ball when Sylwester Zima tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 33 played minutes Ozon Fc got a freekick which was hit by Semi Akdoruk. In the 35th minute, FC LIVERPOOL's Wilfredo Eneko ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edvin Skålberg. Edvin Skålberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Asım Suat hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Ozon Fc's Edvin Skålberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Eneko in the 43rd minute of play. After 44 minutes, Cengiz Ünder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ozon Fc and the FC LIVERPOOL players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cengiz Ünder hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, FC LIVERPOOL's Edvin Skålberg threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Prime Lee, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 47 minutes into the game, one of FC LIVERPOOL:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tommy Thompson had in the 49thth minute some difficulties stopping Kuddusî Erdemli's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Sylwester Zima made the kick off in the second half. Tommy Thompson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beat Buckmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Michael Lachmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC LIVERPOOL's Chip Culverhouse was substituted for Russ Blain. FC LIVERPOOL's Dale Dingle was substituted for Gino Araújo. 61 minutes into the game, Dale Dingle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tommy Thompson made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Kuddusî Erdemli sent off a good shot on target. Asım Suat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Tommy Thompson made a huge save. The supporters of Ozon Fc booed when FC LIVERPOOL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sylwester Zima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orhun Tümkan's late challenge caught a FC LIVERPOOL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Ozon Fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edvin Skålberg should have stopped the shot. After 81 played minutes Ozon Fc got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Reha Parskan. Edvin Skålberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ed Sills went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, FC LIVERPOOL's Wilfredo Eneko got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute Beat Buckmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Thompson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zumar Goyanes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tommy Thompson came out and tried to block the shot, but Zumar Goyanes slotted it home off the left post making it 5-3 in the 91st minute. After 96 minutes, Ed Sills made it 6-3 with a short kick to the right side. Ozon Fc's Edvin Skålberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ozon Fc players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC LIVERPOOL.
