Joélson Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Diego Armando Orange sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wes Gillespie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Bruno Meireles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When ForestFire's Lane Martinez in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Armando Orange in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wes Gillespie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th match minute, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel Paraense to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Cary Griggs in the 22nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Amadeu Prado. After some careless play in the ForestFire defense, Diego Armando Orange kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wes Gillespie. The ForestFire fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wes Gillespie should have stopped the shot. The Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Diego Armando Orange looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, ForestFire's Curtis Hunter got a free kick in the 31st minute. Joélson Abreu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 31st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Amadeu Prado kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Edgardo Courtney took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chiquinho Guerra. Chiquinho Guerra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Juan Orange kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Armando Orange to make the kick off. Franklin Potts made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Amadeu Prado. Sammy Knowles kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Wes Gillespie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Armando Orange in the 83rd minute of the match. Lane Martinez hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 86th match minute, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho Orange to maneuver through the defense. Wes Gillespie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Gonçalves in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Flavinho Toscano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the game, Diego Armando Orange cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Wes Gillespie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Diego Armando Orange struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Wes Gillespie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while ForestFire had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
