The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xande Cavani in the 5th minute of play forced ADM Taquaras's goalkeeper Jeremias Moreno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cesar Quinto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Barbaros Bozbey made a huge save. After having played for 17 minutes, Denílson Tepedino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ADM Taquaras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denílson Tepedino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Denílson Tepedino struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Barbaros Bozbey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ADM Taquaras. In the 33rd minute Xande Cavani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Xande Cavani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Sun Yang Yue fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VERDOLAGA CITY FC's protests and gave Sun Yang Yue a yellow card for diving instead. Sun Yang Yue hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Denílson Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Barbaros Bozbey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denílson Tepedino in the 39th minute of the match. After 43 played minutes VERDOLAGA CITY FC got a freekick which was hit by Benedykt Pietrowicz.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xande Cavani stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
