Erwin Bienvenu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Opate booed when Gyál United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erwin Bienvenu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 36 played minutes, Opate's Boris Kočiu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Horaţiu Petran came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Opate reached it. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dragoljub Gičevski prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Dragoljub Gičevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Dragoljub Gičevski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zoltán Varga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dragoljub Gičevski having to interfere. Horaţiu Petran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomislav Cvetanoski's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. After some careless play in the Opate defense, Walmir Breckenfeld kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dragoljub Gičevski. The Opate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dragoljub Gičevski should have stopped the shot. Zoltán Varga scored 6-1 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dragoljub Gičevski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dragoljub Gičevski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zoltán Varga went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Breckenfeld in the 94th minute of play forced Opate's goalkeeper Dragoljub Gičevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Konstantinos Kroustallis notched a goal, 8-1, to the right of Opate's Dragoljub Gičevski. Dragoljub Gičevski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Many of Opate's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Opate may have spent more time on the ball, but Gyál United were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
