Nancy AFC's Walter Gardner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Nancy AFC from getting a goal against them. Walter Gardner made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Jared Larson sent off a good shot on target. 19 minutes into the match, Nancy AFC's goalkeeper Walter Gardner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sal Boyles. In the 21st minute, Sal Boyles reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Walter Gardner. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Taylor in the 24th minute of play forced Hazard's goalkeeper Brant Cleveland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Nancy AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Howard to maneuver through the defense. Walter Gardner made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Sal Boyles sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sal Boyles got free with Walter Gardner in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Walter Gardner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damon Dixon in the 43rd minute. After 47 played minutes Charlie Sullivan rounded Nancy AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Brant Cleveland was a little too slow when Jack Taylor got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 3-1. Hazard's Brant Cleveland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dom Woodman in the 59th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Howard during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hazard made a substitution. Ivan Gonzales replaced Mohammed McCann. In the 62nd match minute, Nancy AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Howard to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Nancy AFC booed when Hazard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sal Boyles didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Nancy AFC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Felix Howard hit a great ball. Sam Lowe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Brant Cleveland made a huge save. The Hazard fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Hazard's Sal Boyles looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 90th minute, Nancy AFC's Blair Trueman seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Blair Trueman the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Nancy AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Blair Trueman had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 89th minute, one of Nancy AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nancy AFC. Jared Larson struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Walter Gardner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hazard. When Ivan Gonzales fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hazard's protests and gave Ivan Gonzales a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th minute, Ivan Gonzales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard and well directed shot from Noel Baker led 97 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Hazard's Brant Cleveland became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 5-2.

The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hazard fans cheered their team off the field, for while Nancy AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
