Spectators: 480 (Terracing: 361, Seating: 110, VIP seats: 9) Limerick AFC's Baiscend Frankson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Crispin Coulson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Quinn McBjarton. Limerick AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Crispin Coulson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Limerick AFC's Quinn McBjarton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre Rhodes in the 13th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Pearson McLian kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Chaz Quinn. That made the score 1-1 in the 15 minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Pearson McLian recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Chaz Quinn. Pearson McLian showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 20th match minute, Inter FC Torino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nathan Theobold to maneuver through the defense. Stew Poynton hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Baiscend Frankson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chaz Quinn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Quinn McBjarton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Crispin Coulson, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Finn McJohn's late challenge caught a Inter FC Torino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Finn McJohn helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Inter FC Torino booed when Limerick AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Finn McJohn didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th match minute, Inter FC Torino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Bye to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute, Crispin Coulson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Quinn McBjarton was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Crispin Coulson made a kick off. Crispin Coulson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Quinn McBjarton made a huge save. Chaz Quinn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pearson McLian's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Chaz Quinn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baiscend Frankson in the 61st minute of the match. Pearson McLian charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pearson McLian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th minute, Pearson McLian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Baiscend Frankson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pierre Rhodes kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. During the 74th minute of the match Stew Poynton completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Stew Poynton a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Inter FC Torino getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Stew Poynton hit a great ball. After 78 played minutes Inter FC Torino got a freekick which was hit by Pierre Rhodes. Jay Beattie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Quinn McBjarton made a huge save. The referee's whistle sounded for the end of the second half. The match was tied at 2-2. None of the players looked happy at the prospect of extra-time.

After resting during the break, the players from both teams went out on the field looking very concentrated. It was now first half of the overtime. Baiscend Frankson made the kick off and play began. After a rather tough play, Inter FC Torino's Nathan Theobold got a free kick in the 104th minute. The audience was convinced that Baiscend Frankson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chaz Quinn was relentless in the 112th minute of the game. The first half of extra-time was a real thriller. Both teams had created chances, but they were still tied when the whistle blew. The players were able to take a short breather during the short break.

When it was time for second half in the overtime, the players were a bit slow, but they soon became more alert when it was time for Crispin Coulson to make the kick off. In the 117th minute, Bivadas McCready hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Quinn McBjarton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Crispin Coulson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Aubrey Robinson came up free with the goalie in the 130th minute, the Limerick AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aubrey Robinson couldn't finish the play. The game was still level after extra-time. The match had to be settled by penalties!

In the 139th minute there was a penalty for Limerick AFC. Shiel Hutton stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Chaz Quinn. 3-3. In the 140th minute there was a penalty for Inter FC Torino. Anthony Bye stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Quinn McBjarton. 3-4. The referee gave Inter FC Torino a penalty, 143 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alf Maylett, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Limerick AFC's Quinn McBjarton. 4-5. Chaz Quinn had in the 144thth minute some difficulties stopping Todd McNamee's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Todd McNamee's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Chaz Quinn on his right side and into the goal. 144 minutes into the game it was 5-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Inter FC Torino walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
