TSG Hoffenheim's 江奕战 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 叶斌荣 in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of SV Werder Bremen booed when TSG Hoffenheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. 武鹰超 didn't get a good kick on the ball. 江霖磊 struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. 蒋笑星 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. In the 19th minute 杜剑明 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 蒋笑星 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SV Werder Bremen's 蒋笑星 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 杜剑明 in the 23rd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 24 minutes, 江奕战 successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 傅政西 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. 江奕战 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of TSG Hoffenheim:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SV Werder Bremen:s goal. 江奕战 had in the 43rdth minute some difficulties stopping 袁骋渊's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 江奕战 came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by SV Werder Bremen's 袁骋渊. But to his dismay, 袁骋渊 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

余斐城 made in the 52nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which 狄钢默 however managed to control. 傅政西 hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 邓洲政 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 江霖磊 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 蒋笑星 having to interfere. 杜剑明 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. 蒋笑星 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SV Werder Bremen's zone, 江霖磊 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 蒋笑星 came out of the goal and 江霖磊 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 余斐城 during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 余斐城 kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. If 杜剑明 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 played minutes SV Werder Bremen got a freekick which was hit by 狄钢默. If 邓洲政 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 傅政西 kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 蒋笑星 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 杜剑明, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute, 傅政西 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 江霖磊 hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by 杜剑明 in the 86th minute of play forced SV Werder Bremen's goalkeeper 蒋笑星 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 88th minute of the game was made by 余斐城 with 狄钢默 as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. SV Werder Bremen's 叶斌荣 got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SV Werder Bremen's attentive 曾克荣 managed to snatch the ball when 范渊南 made a throw-in in the 91st minute of the game. 江霖磊 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 蒋笑星 having to interfere. TSG Hoffenheim's 江霖磊 suffered a concussion after 95 minutes and had to leave the field. 叶泉泉's late challenge caught a TSG Hoffenheim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 叶泉泉 helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SV Werder Bremen getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. 叶泉泉 hit a great ball. SV Werder Bremen's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
