An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernando Azevedo in the 10th minute of play forced Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Mastur Bandov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mastur Bandov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernando Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Basílio Silveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donato Tinoco made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gernando Azevedo in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mastur Bandov saved Jacuitiba - FSCMZ from getting behind. Stefan Stenquist hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Mastur Bandov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gernando Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's João Carlos Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Silveira in the 62nd minute of play. Mastur Bandov had in the 84thth minute some difficulties stopping Amadeu do Nascimento's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 4-1 came in the 84th minute when Amadeu do Nascimento all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Mastur Bandov. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Luís Paulo do Nascimento was substituted for Fortunato Froněk. After a defensive mix-up in Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's zone, Gabriel Recife stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mastur Bandov came out of the goal and Gabriel Recife tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Los Andes FC - FSCMZ booed when Jacuitiba - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gláuber Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
