The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Luís Eduardo Arce got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 7th minute Luís Eduardo Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante was a little too slow when Pedrinho do Valle got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Luís Eduardo Arce dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Antônio Carlos Cavalcante, 2-0. 19 minutes into the match, Serafim Simão notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Samuca Bezerra. Samuca Bezerra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Rondinone F.C - FDFDF getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Tiaguinho Faria hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the game, Serafim Simão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palestra do Interior's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rondinone F.C - FDFDF the free kick. Serafim Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th match minute, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio Maciel to maneuver through the defense. If Jhon Barcellos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute Jhon Barcellos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuca Bezerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuca Bezerra came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Palestra do Interior's William Luz. But to his dismay, William Luz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Serafim Simão made a kick off. Samuca Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafim Simão in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goal looked a bit too open when Jhon Barcellos came free, but Samuca Bezerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. David Vale was slow to take the kick. During this time Palestra do Interior's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Palestra do Interior's corner David Vale fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Samuca Bezerra quite easily take care of the ball. In the 59th match minute, Palestra do Interior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedé Mazer to maneuver through the defense. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiaguinho Faria in the 65th minute of play. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Perivaldo Pitta was substituted for Pedrinho do Valle. In the 68th minute, Ulysses Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiaguinho Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Eduardo Arce in the 84th minute of the match. Adriano Secco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antônio Carlos Cavalcante read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Jhon Barcellos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Samuca Bezerra came out and tried to block the shot, but Jhon Barcellos slotted it home off the left post making it 5-3 in the 91st minute. Jhon Barcellos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Samuca Bezerra made a huge save. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
