The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emanuel Ardeleanu charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Iosif Asachi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Basilio Justin made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Gaston Joanes got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Basilio Justin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Rednic, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Jonatan Felipo put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Horea Hurmuzache. After 34 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Eustaquio Gerazan. Horea Hurmuzache showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonatan Felipo, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dumitru Zafiu during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 41 minutes, Eugen Bobocea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DINAMO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugen Bobocea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joaquin Fonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Horea Hurmuzache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 played minutes, Club Atlético Atlanta's Joaquin Fonso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Horea Hurmuzache came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Atlético Atlanta reached it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonatan Felipo to make the kick off. In the 55thth minute of the game Jonatan Felipo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DINAMO's Horea Hurmuzache was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Horea Hurmuzache took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatan Felipo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute Dionisio Monico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horea Hurmuzache saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Eustaquio Gerazan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the match, DINAMO's goalkeeper Horea Hurmuzache had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonatan Felipo. David Greblă hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. When Iosif Asachi fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DINAMO's protests and gave Iosif Asachi a yellow card for diving instead. Eugen Bobocea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute, Elpidio Shantala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute, Adam Rednic ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basilio Justin was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Jonatan Felipo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Horea Hurmuzache skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, DINAMO's Nechifor Şimandan got a free kick in the 91st minute. Horea Hurmuzache made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonatan Felipo in the 92nd minute. Eustaquio Gerazan's late challenge caught a DINAMO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eustaquio Gerazan helped the player get up and apologised. Eustaquio Gerazan hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Basilio Justin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Rednic in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute Adam Rednic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Justin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
