Borussia Dortmund's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Herblay the free kick. Jean-Charles Gauche scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xofre Astola, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 30th minute of the match, Estebano Reganado tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Norbert Domenech saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Herblay's Norbert Domenech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Estebano Reganado in the 32nd minute of play. Jonathan Samuel kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Artizar Vede took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Norbert Domenech. Herblay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Duardo Bolantin could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Norbert Domenech however easily saved by the left post. Xofre Astola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dove Roig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Borussia Dortmund's Filipe Zaballos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Norbert Domenech. That made the score 1-1 after 44 minutes of play. A hard shot 48 in the game by Duardo Bolantin from a close distance when the talented Norbert Domenech managed to make a qualified save. Herblay's players were relieved.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Duardo Bolantin made a kick off. Valdo Manurga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Norbert Domenech stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Duardo Bolantin's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. If Dove Roig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artizar Vede hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute Duardo Bolantin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norbert Domenech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norbert Domenech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdo Manurga, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Colon Mestre kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Dove Roig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Xofre Astola made a huge save. Filipe Zaballos charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filipe Zaballos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Filipe Zaballos hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Lucien Decottignies fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xofre Astola having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Herblay's goal looked a bit too open when Estebano Reganado came free, but Norbert Domenech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Herblay had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
