After having played for 7 minutes, Olimpiu Teodorescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Cosula-BTF-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Olimpiu Teodorescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Cosula-BTF- fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! Miroslav Brezník walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Sandu Bărbânță kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Miroslav Brezník hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Olimpiu Teodorescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivan Adamčík was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. AFK Petržalka's Ivan Adamčík played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olimpiu Teodorescu in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Olimpiu Teodorescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ivan Adamčík. Olimpiu Teodorescu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 29th minute. FC Cosula-BTF-'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ilie Brumaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klement Dupal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Neicu hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olimpiu Teodorescu in the 36th minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Ivan Adamčík to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the game, AFK Petržalka's Tibor Barmoš nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ilie Brumaru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Klement Dupal to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olimpiu Teodorescu in the 54th minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Ivan Adamčík to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of AFK Petržalka booed when FC Cosula-BTF- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Neicu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Basarab Seremet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Cosula-BTF-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFK Petržalka the free kick. After some careless play in the FC Cosula-BTF- defense, Miroslav Brezník kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilie Brumaru. The FC Cosula-BTF- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilie Brumaru should have stopped the shot. Tibor Barmoš in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ilie Brumaru, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ivan Adamčík showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petruț Dugulescu in the 67th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tibor Barmoš in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ilie Brumaru saved FC Cosula-BTF- from getting behind. In the 79th minute, Sandu Bărbânță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute, Olimpiu Teodorescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Cosula-BTF- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Manuel Neicu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tomáš Nickler in the 89 minute of the game. After a rather tough play, FC Cosula-BTF-'s Manuel Neicu got a free kick in the 90th minute. AFK Petržalka were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing FC Cosula-BTF- to leave the ground with a draw.
