The supporters of Bandeca FC booed when AFK Petržalka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Kaľavský didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waldir Marquez came free with the goalkeeper in the 4th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ivan Adamčík could save by the left post. After 5 minutes AFK Petržalka's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Flávio Arósio who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Bandeca FC's Caetano Azevedo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Fernando Banders received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Ivan Adamčík tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 17 minutes of play, AFK Petržalka's Tibor Barmoš made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kléberson Soeiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Tibor Barmoš in the 31st minute of play forced Bandeca FC's goalkeeper Kléberson Soeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiago Ortiz in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Adamčík prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th minute Waldir Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Adamčík saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bandeca FC were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after AFK Petržalka's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Flávio Arósio took the corner. The corner led Bandeca FC's Flávio Arósio to fire away a dangerous shot which Ivan Adamčík despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 41stth minute of the game Tibor Barmoš who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bandeca FC's Kléberson Soeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bandeca FC's Kléberson Soeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miroslav Brezník in the 43rd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Klement Dupal was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, AFK Petržalka's Klement Dupal got a free kick in the 58th minute. Bandeca FC made a substitution. Luiz Gustavo Couto replaced Caetano Azevedo. After 59 played minutes AFK Petržalka got a freekick which was hit by Klement Dupal. The supporters of AFK Petržalka booed when Bandeca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldir Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 played minutes Bandeca FC got a freekick which was hit by Umberto Rosa. 1-1 became the score in the 67th minute when Luiz Gustavo Couto elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Klement Dupal hit a great ball. Ivan Adamčík showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Tibor Barmoš recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Luiz Gustavo Couto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivan Adamčík was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Luiz Gustavo Couto struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Ivan Adamčík didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bandeca FC. After a rather tough play, AFK Petržalka's Klement Dupal got a free kick in the 94th minute. A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Miroslav Brezník hit a great ball. In the 97th minute, Klement Dupal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Gustavo Couto in the 99th minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Ivan Adamčík to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AFK Petržalka's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
