Tiago Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. The supporters of San Lorenzo booed when Bandeca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adilson Simão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adilson Simão hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Tiago Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bandeca FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Ortiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeo Tabor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amadeo Tabor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiago Ortiz's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Fernando Banders kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After some careless play in the San Lorenzo defense, Tiago Ortiz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeo Tabor. The San Lorenzo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeo Tabor should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Bandeca FC booed when San Lorenzo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Jakes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo's Erasmo Maureo got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 25 played minutes Bandeca FC got a freekick which was hit by Waldir Marquez. A collision led to San Lorenzo getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Arturo Lehior hit a great ball. In the 31stth minute of the game Tiago Ortiz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Lorenzo's Amadeo Tabor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 32 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Banders came free, but Amadeo Tabor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 played minutes San Lorenzo got a freekick which was hit by Uriel Lucero. With a little luck, Bandeca FC's Kléberson Soeiro got control of the ball when Rodrigo Jakes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The San Lorenzo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bandeca FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tiago Ortiz was the one to do the kick off. Bandeca FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Flávio Arósio in the 54th minute. Bandeca FC's Kléberson Soeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Lehior in the 55th minute of play. San Lorenzo's Amadeo Tabor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save San Lorenzo from getting a goal against them. Bandeca FC's Luiz Gustavo Couto was substituted for Caetano Azevedo. If Luiz Gustavo Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute Arturo Lehior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléberson Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kléberson Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Maureo, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Kléberson Soeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Jakes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kléberson Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Lehior in the 77th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Erasmo Maureo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Kléberson Soeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 85 minutes, Tiago Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bandeca FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Ortiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo's Erasmo Maureo got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 95th minute Arturo Lehior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléberson Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Umberto Rosa came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Bandeca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Umberto Rosa couldn't finish the play.
