After 38 played minutes, Bandeca FC's Flávio Arósio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Max Sevier came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bandeca FC reached it. With an all-out effort, Bandeca FC's Max Sevier threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Waldir Marquez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 41 minutes into the match, Bandeca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Odysseus De Souza came free, but Kléberson Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kléberson Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulric Donsante in the 43rd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the game, Fernando Banders was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ulric Donsante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kléberson Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulric Donsante in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Márcio de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ulric Donsante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kléberson Soeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guido Emennegger went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Bandeca FC's Luiz Gustavo Couto was substituted for Caetano Azevedo. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Fidelio Haller took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Kléberson Soeiro to make any attempt to save it. In the 64th minute, Odysseus De Souza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kléberson Soeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. Fedor Adler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Kléberson Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's goal looked a bit too open when Waldir Marquez came free, but Max Sevier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FC Lugano booed when Bandeca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umberto Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Lugano's Matteo Gartenmann was substituted for Odysseus De Souza. After 75 played minutes Bandeca FC got a freekick which was hit by Umberto Rosa.
