When Anacleto Guter fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kiev FC's protests and gave Anacleto Guter a yellow card for diving instead. Sidnei Vergílio charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sidnei Vergílio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Giuseppe Silveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 20 minutes in the game Danilo Salgado got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. In the 22nd minute Anselmo Iturri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anselmo Iturri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giuseppe Silveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Anselmo Iturri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giuseppe Silveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Anacleto Guter hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Kiev FC's Cirilo Frederico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo Lucas in the 54th minute of play. Giuseppe Silveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anselmo Iturri's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Cirilo Frederico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdo Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cirilo Frederico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo Lucas in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Lucas in the 61st minute of play forced Kiev FC's goalkeeper Cirilo Frederico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kiev FC's Ladislao Batista was substituted for Rodolfo Burni. In the 74th minute Kiev FC were awarded a corner. Antonio Mutafchiev went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 82nd minute Anselmo Iturri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
