Flannery Perth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 倪梁傲 in the 17th minute of the match. 黄真响 took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flannery Perth. Flannery Perth dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Keelin McDonald might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 卓诚默. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Keelin McDonald ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breen Todd in the 28th minute of play forced AS Monaco's goalkeeper 卓诚默 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 黄真响 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as AS Monaco's 倪梁傲 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Flannery Perth. That made the score 5-0 after 31 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, 倪梁傲 managed to get in a good position for a shot. AS Monaco's supporters rose to their feet, but 倪梁傲 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flannery Perth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
