The audience thought a goal was coming when 严文森 got free with 卓诚默 in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 卓诚默 made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when 康克斌 sent off a good shot on target. Slovan Bratislava's 罗昂渊 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 赵平枫 in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, 倪梁傲 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, 赵平枫 put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of 罗昂渊. 严文森 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. AS Monaco's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
