To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 郝博寒's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 孟宇阳 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. If 郝博寒 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 31 minutes into the game, Hellas Verona's 孙霖烨 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 孟宇阳 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 34th minute 孙霖烨 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 孟宇阳 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 肖钢超 struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. 孟宇阳 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. In the 97th match minute, Dinamo Zagreb was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 林岩景 to maneuver through the defense. Hellas Verona played a much better game than Dinamo Zagreb and deserved their victory. The Dinamo Zagreb players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
