In the 8th minute Braden McNamara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flannery Perth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Garadice's goal looked a bit too open when Braden McNamara came free, but Flannery Perth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ravan Hughes kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Ailín McJames took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobin Gollogley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Laheen AFC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Barra Moran hit a great ball. Ailín McJames showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thurl Kelly, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Garadice's Flannery Perth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braden McNamara in the 25th minute of play. After 26 minutes Garadice's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hayes Gough who took care of the corner kick. In the 30th minute Bard Ghee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ailín McJames saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 played minutes Thurl Kelly rounded Laheen AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Belock Harkin hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, Laheen AFC's Finbar McFrancise sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flannery Perth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thurl Kelly was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Belock Harkin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laheen AFC and the Garadice players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 53 played minutes Laheen AFC got a freekick which was hit by Belock Harkin. 54 minutes into the match, Flannery McFrank had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ailín McJames. Laheen AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Flannery McFrank was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Garadice's zone, Braden McNamara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flannery Perth came out of the goal and Braden McNamara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ravan Hughes kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After having played for 64 minutes, Braden McNamara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laheen AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Braden McNamara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Garadice getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Flannery McFrank hit a great ball. Hayes Gough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Flannery Perth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Garadice's Flannery Perth got control of the ball when Finbar McFrancise tried to sneak it across the goal line. Braden McNamara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 88 played minutes Garadice got a freekick which was hit by Ravan Hughes. Braden McNamara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flannery Perth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Finbar McFrancise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Flannery Perth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laheen AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
