Ermengol Alberete might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cankut Wakabayashi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ermengol Alberete ran back to his position shaking his head. 17 minutes into the match, Turkey's goalkeeper Cankut Wakabayashi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ermengol Alberete. After 22 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Mannuel Ser. 24 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Mannuel Ser sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cankut Wakabayashi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Turgut Soyuer came free, but Dani Hernández reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Turgut Soyuer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dani Hernández. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Turgut Soyuer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Turkey's Turgut Soyuer in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Gürhan Sarıoğlu made a great header on Turkey's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Dani Hernández managed to reach the ball for a save. After 34 minutes of play, Turkey's Gürhan Sarıoğlu made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dani Hernández was left in no man's land by his defense there! 39 minutes into the match, Turgut Soyuer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dani Hernández. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Turgut Soyuer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Venezuela's Dani Hernández played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turgut Soyuer in the 41st minute of play. Cankut Wakabayashi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Arango, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermengol Alberete to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ermengol Alberete stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Ermengol Alberete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Harry McGuire got a free kick in the 55th minute. Gürhan Sarıoğlu might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dani Hernández. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gürhan Sarıoğlu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 59th minute, Turgut Soyuer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dani Hernández was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Ermengol Alberete blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cankut Wakabayashi having to make a save. In the 64th minute Ermengol Alberete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cankut Wakabayashi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ermengol Alberete recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Venezuela made a substitution. Peruanton Tamayo replaced Ermengol Alberete. Venezuela made a substitution. Telmo Lillo replaced Marcelo Gay. Turkey's Akif Akın was substituted for Arjen Robben. Turkey's Ahmet Boran Aktay managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Harry McGuire in the 73 minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Zé Dos Reis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dani Hernández was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. If Peruanton Tamayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 81 minutes into the match, Turkey's goal looked a bit too open when Peruanton Tamayo came free, but Cankut Wakabayashi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85thth minute of the game Peruanton Tamayo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Turkey's Cankut Wakabayashi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 89 minutes into the game, Peruanton Tamayo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Cankut Wakabayashi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dani Hernández showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Dos Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Turkey had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
