Despite this Cayetano Rito quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 43 played minutes Joinville City - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by João Francisco Arce. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Haji Sarap proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Joinville City - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dieguinho Amaral made a kick off. Dieguinho Amaral took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Haji Sarap. Haji Sarap dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. If Luís Paulo Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovanildo Luis got free with Cayetano Rito in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanildo Luis in the 61st minute of play. After 62 played minutes Paulopolis got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Falcão. Joinville City - FSCMZ made a substitution. Marcus Allbäck replaced Geovanildo Luis. Joinville City - FSCMZ's George Pogba was substituted for Bernardino Llorenc. In the 64th match minute, Paulopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Falcão to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Drew Zaelani sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito didn't even have to move. Marcus Allbäck might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cayetano Rito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcus Allbäck ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 66th minute Marcus Allbäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Rito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66thth minute of the game Marcus Allbäck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Luís Paulo Sabóia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paulopolis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Joinville City - FSCMZ the free kick. Luís Paulo Sabóia hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Cayetano Rito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Allbäck in the 68th minute of play. Marcus Allbäck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Cayetano Rito made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Marcus Allbäck put it in 2-6 from a short distance just to the right of Cayetano Rito. Cayetano Rito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Allbäck in the 76th minute of play. After having played for 78 minutes, Dieguinho Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 2-7 when Adhemar Santos sped through Paulopolis's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cayetano Rito. Marcus Allbäck might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cayetano Rito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcus Allbäck ran back to his position shaking his head. Cícero Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The Paulopolis fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Joinville City - FSCMZ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
