Jiang Yu Lin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Jurdan in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emre Çeliksu in the 10th minute of play forced XV de Piracicaba's goalkeeper Fonso Zotillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jiang Yu Lin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remo Goiano in the 15th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Betinho Lenzi took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Fonso Zotillo to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Betinho Lenzi got free with Fonso Zotillo in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 26 minutes XV de Piracicaba's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Betinho Lenzi who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Sakarias Åström got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fonso Zotillo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 30 minutes into the match, FALCÕES VERDES's Betinho Lenzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fonso Zotillo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jiang Yu Lin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Jurdan in the 32nd minute of play. Fonso Zotillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Betinho Lenzi in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Betinho Lenzi was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Betinho Lenzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fonso Zotillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in XV de Piracicaba's zone, Betinho Lenzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fonso Zotillo came out of the goal and Betinho Lenzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Betinho Lenzi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fonso Zotillo was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. 64 minutes into the match, FALCÕES VERDES's Betinho Lenzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fonso Zotillo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fonso Zotillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betinho Lenzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 74th match minute, XV de Piracicaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yuri Tasso to maneuver through the defense. When Yuri Tasso fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored XV de Piracicaba's protests and gave Yuri Tasso a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to XV de Piracicaba getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Yuri Tasso hit a great ball. Fonso Zotillo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pietro Santos went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FALCÕES VERDES fans cheered their team off the field, for while XV de Piracicaba had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
