Bilbo Arzube showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elce Teleagă in the 13th minute of the match. Walmyr Loyola's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Gino Tonić skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Juventus EC booed when New Miran FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juventus EC's Bilbo Arzube played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charlie Vandamme in the 18th minute of play. Walmyr Loyola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gino Tonić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute of the match Juventus EC got a corner. New Miran FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomm Thys ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of New Miran FC's goalie and right to Elo Altoft. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. New Miran FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When Walmyr Loyola came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Juventus EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walmyr Loyola couldn't finish the play. Walmyr Loyola who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Gino Tonić when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 33 minutes into the match, Juventus EC's goal looked a bit too open when Elce Teleagă came free, but Bilbo Arzube reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Walmyr Loyola took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Gino Tonić to make any attempt to save it. In the 40th minute Johan Neeskens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bilbo Arzube saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charlie Vandamme took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bilbo Arzube. Bilbo Arzube dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Álvaro Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Juventus EC's Gabriel Peres was substituted for Magno de Moraes. Juventus EC's Rosendo Gervaso was substituted for Walmyr Loyola. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elce Teleagă was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Vandamme in the 53rd minute of play forced Juventus EC's goalkeeper Bilbo Arzube to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gino Tonić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rosendo Gervaso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the match, New Miran FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nilson Leite came free, but Gino Tonić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Juventus EC's Tomm Thys got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 58 played minutes, New Miran FC's Johan Neeskens shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bilbo Arzube came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Bilbo Arzube made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johan Neeskens in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Juventus EC fans cheered their team off the field, for while New Miran FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
