Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Radowit Kuszczak started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Wayne Rooney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sebastian Karp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matias Bilintx in the 3rd minute. When Diego Maradona came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Sporting de Gijón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Maradona couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Sporting de Gijón's Diego Maradona slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sebastian Karp. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. Sebastian Karp came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting de Gijón's Matias Bilintx. But to his dismay, Matias Bilintx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Alejandro Rufo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian Karp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Maradona in the 18th minute of play. After 20 played minutes Fc Gliwice got a freekick which was hit by Feliks Cebula. 24 minutes into the game, Sporting de Gijón's Wayne Rooney nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastian Karp made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 27th minute, Diego Maradona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastian Karp was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. 30 minutes into the game, Wayne Rooney recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sebastian Karp. Wayne Rooney showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-0. If Alejandro Rufo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Sebastian Karp managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Sporting de Gijón's Wayne Rooney fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 37 played minutes Fc Gliwice got a freekick which was hit by Cezary Pilsudski. Matias Bilintx struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Sebastian Karp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting de Gijón. Wayne Rooney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 49th match minute, Fc Gliwice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cezary Pilsudski to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matias Bilintx stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Matias Bilintx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Bilintx in the 54th minute of play forced Fc Gliwice's goalkeeper Sebastian Karp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Karp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Bilintx in the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's Saturnino Curcio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastian Karp narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sebastian Karp didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matias Bilintx went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. In the 65th minute, Wayne Rooney made a precise shot to the right of Sebastian Karp. Fc Gliwice's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0. Fc Gliwice's Sebastian Karp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Bilintx in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute of the game Zachariasz Psotka made a throw-in which Radowit Kuszczak played forward. Zachariasz Psotka hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, Matias Bilintx ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastian Karp was frozen by the shot and now it was 12-0. Sporting de Gijón's Carolo Ovando was substituted for Alejandro Rufo. Sebastian Karp came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting de Gijón's Matias Bilintx. But to his dismay, Matias Bilintx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 13-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matias Bilintx in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastian Karp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 88 minutes into the game, Matias Bilintx cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 14-0. Sebastian Karp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Feliks Cebula during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Fc Gliwice's Feliks Cebula got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Wayne Rooney managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting de Gijón's supporters rose to their feet, but Wayne Rooney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Karp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sporting de Gijón's Saturnino Curcio got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
