In the 6th minute Olimpiu Teodorescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixto Verdaguer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petru Chirea kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The supporters of Modroñes booed when FC Cosula-BTF- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aron Mitruț didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Modroñes's Chalá Albertos tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Yépez Cueto kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the game, Olimpiu Teodorescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sixto Verdaguer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 21 minutes into the match, Urbano Ufret dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ilie Brumaru, 1-1. In the 29th minute Yépez Cueto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilie Brumaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Modroñes's Lorenzo Urdiales ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ilie Brumaru. Ilie Brumaru yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. A collision led to Modroñes getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Chalá Albertos hit a great ball. Gheorghe Chițan fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 39th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. When Sandu Bărbânță fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Cosula-BTF-'s protests and gave Sandu Bărbânță a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd match minute, FC Cosula-BTF- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandu Bărbânță to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olimpiu Teodorescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vladimiro Barrallo made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Cosula-BTF-'s Petru Chirea. 64 minutes into the match, FC Cosula-BTF-'s goal looked a bit too open when Urbano Ufret came free, but Ilie Brumaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Ilie Brumaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbano Ufret in the 67th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Modroñes's goalkeeper Sixto Verdaguer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sandu Bărbânță. Ilie Brumaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urbano Ufret in the 80th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Petru Chirea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ilie Brumaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Urdiales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
