Amador Frichoso came out of the goal and Candido Valerón tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Armando Alabern fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MLM's protests and gave Armando Alabern a yellow card for diving instead. Armando Alabern kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Candido Valerón in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amador Frichoso saved Barreal FC from getting behind. After 13 played minutes Barreal FC got a freekick which was hit by Angel Vachon. Candido Valerón who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Amador Frichoso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. MLM's Argi Saura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosme Mattin in the 16th minute of play. Candido Valeróns short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Amador Frichoso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Amador Frichoso stood somewhat misplaced when Candido Valerón came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 24 minute. Barreal FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Candido Valerón scored to the left of an out of position Amador Frichoso, making the score, 2-0. 41 minutes into the game, MLM's Candido Valerón nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amador Frichoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

MLM made a substitution. Bertol Elias replaced Quirce Torrent. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Candido Valerón was the one to do the kick off. After 59 minutes, Candido Valerón made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Barreal FC's Amador Frichoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Candido Valerón sped through Barreal FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amador Frichoso. After 73 minutes of play, MLM's Bertol Elias made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amador Frichoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amador Frichoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Valerón in the 76th minute of play. The supporters of Barreal FC booed when MLM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliverio Lopez de Toro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Angel Vachon in the 80th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Argi Saura's left hand side. Barreal FC's Amador Frichoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gartzea Vera in the 82nd minute of play. If Cristos Huarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
