In the 8th minute, Valério da Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LaCity fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Cristos Huarte struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Conrado Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MLM. 13 minutes into the match, MLM's goal looked a bit too open when Valério da Costa came free, but Argi Saura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, Candido Valerón ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Conrado Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. A very good chance. Conrado Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gartzea Vera in the 38th minute of the match. When Breno Paranaense fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LaCity's protests and gave Breno Paranaense a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, LaCity's Breno Paranaense got a free kick in the 39th minute. After a defensive mix-up in LaCity's zone, Gartzea Vera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conrado Amorim came out of the goal and Gartzea Vera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. LaCity's Valério da Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Candido Valerón made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of LaCity booed when MLM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Valerón in the 82nd minute of play forced LaCity's goalkeeper Conrado Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurinho do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind LaCity's goalkeeper Conrado Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gartzea Vera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Amorim having to interfere. Gildo Coelho might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Argi Saura. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gildo Coelho ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gildo Coelho in the 97th minute of play forced MLM's goalkeeper Argi Saura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MLM were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of LaCity for a fine match.
