Eloy Pelayo was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Alberto Mendonça capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alberto Mendonça really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 7th minute, Betinho Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, SORRISO E. C.'s Dário Souto got a free kick in the 9th minute. After 11 minutes, Cayetano Roland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los simuladores FC and the SORRISO E. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Los simuladores FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Cayetano Roland hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberto Mendonça kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eloy Pelayo. That made the score 2-0 in the 12 minute of play. Horácio Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Eloy Pelayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horácio Pereira did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Eloy Pelayo 26 minutes into the match. Arnulfo Tolino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Douglas Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horácio Pereira got free with Eloy Pelayo in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alberto Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Eloy Pelayo made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Genaro Suarez was the one to do the kick off. After 51st play minutes Alberto Mendonça shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Eloy Pelayo and just under the crossbar into goal. After 58 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Yan Penha. Los simuladores FC's Julian Oliviero shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 59th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Douglas Viana but with some difficulty. With his leg Douglas Viana managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Los simuladores FC's Genaro Suarez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 63 played minutes Los simuladores FC got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Tolino. In the 64th minute of the match Betinho Queiroz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eloy Pelayo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 68th minute, Horácio Pereira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SORRISO E. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Horácio Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. SORRISO E. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Horácio Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eloy Pelayo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute, Alberto Mendonça made a precise shot to the right of Eloy Pelayo. Los simuladores FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. After 80 minutes of play, Los simuladores FC's Genaro Suarez made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Douglas Viana was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Pereira in the 88th minute of play forced Los simuladores FC's goalkeeper Eloy Pelayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Los simuladores FC booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 played minutes Los simuladores FC got a freekick which was hit by Cayetano Roland. 95 minutes into the match, Alberto Mendonça had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eloy Pelayo. Los simuladores FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Mendonça was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-1. There was no doubt that SORRISO E. C. were the better team. SORRISO E. C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
