An unexpectedly hard shot by Villiam Vedholm in the 14th minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Hugo Fisher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Colas might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo Fisher. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benito Colas ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of GNUSKALLARNA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AFK Petržalka:s goal. 狄迪烽 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Záhoran, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Roland Záhoran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 狄迪烽 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. If Roland Záhoran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. Roland Záhoran scored 1-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 狄迪烽, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 45 minutes, Roland Záhoran made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. GNUSKALLARNA's 狄迪烽 tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

But to his dismay, Roland Záhoran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. 83 minutes into the match, GNUSKALLARNA's goalkeeper 狄迪烽 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roland Záhoran. GNUSKALLARNA's 狄迪烽 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Záhoran in the 84th minute of play. 狄迪烽 made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Roland Záhoran sent off a good shot on target. Bryan Reyna kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 89th minute Benito Colas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Fisher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The AFK Petržalka supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AFK Petržalka would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
