Adan Rafel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristoffer Uchiha. Cristoffer Uchiha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Ignatius Casasola made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 龙然明 during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Garanhão do SUL getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. 龙然明 hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Damaso Gotzon made a precise shot to the right of Ignatius Casasola. Garanhão do SUL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. If Cristoffer Uchiha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. Prospero Santo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ignatius Casasola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damaso Gotzon to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Garanhão do SUL getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. 龙然明 hit a great ball. In the 54th minute of the match Mihai Ozon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ignatius Casasola skillfully saved the ball. In the 55th match minute, Garanhão do SUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aloísio Garcez to maneuver through the defense. Garanhão do SUL's Angel Edorta was substituted for 龙然明. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Garanhão do SUL:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Punua:s goal. The Garanhão do SUL supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Garanhão do SUL would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
