Štefan Semeno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maarten De Malier, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After some careless play in the AFK Petržalka defense, Cristinel Iurea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Štefan Semeno. The AFK Petržalka fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Štefan Semeno should have stopped the shot. In the 77th minute Cristinel Iurea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Štefan Semeno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81stth minute of the game Avram Sârban who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yolo's Wieslaw Dec was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If André Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yolo made a substitution. Flemming Karloby replaced Dariusz Moryl. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roland Záhoran got free with Wieslaw Dec in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 91 minutes, Samuel Kolník mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFK Petržalka and the Yolo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st minute, Samuel Kolník hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Štefan Semeno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Silva in the 92nd minute of play. Avram Sârban charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the referee ended the match the Yolo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
