The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stefan Banaszak was slow to take the kick. During this time Flamengo FSCMZ's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Dênis Loureiro managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Ignatius Casasola made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Ramón Furtado sent off a good shot on target. 15 minutes into the game, Ramón Furtado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ignatius Casasola. Ramón Furtado showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Ignatius Casasola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filipe Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Ignatius Casasola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Banaszak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute of the match Flamengo FSCMZ got a corner. Garanhão do SUL's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Stefan Banaszak ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torcato Rebocho in the 31st minute of play forced Flamengo FSCMZ's goalkeeper Dmytro Novak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cassiano Telinhos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 32 minutes into the match. André Roriz kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Flamengo FSCMZ were awarded a corner. Stefan Banaszak went to the cornerflag to take it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Garanhão do SUL players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Flamengo FSCMZ.
