Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Virgílio Teves started the match with the kick off. Ignatius Casasola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Jirka in the 6th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Costa in the 8th minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Adam Hrdina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Costa came free, but Adam Hrdina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Kent Sjöö reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ignatius Casasola. The goal made the score 1-0. Edgar Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 30 minutes into the game, Edgar Costa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Adam Hrdina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 33 played minutes Garanhão do SUL got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Lousada. In the 41st match minute, AFK Petržalka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvester Jendrišák to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Ignatius Casasola managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when AFK Petržalka's Kent Sjöö fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dávid Strelec stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Peter Hlinka hit a great ball. In the 51st minute of the match, Edgar Costa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Adam Hrdina was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience was convinced that Kent Sjöö's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ignatius Casasola was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Ignatius Casasola came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by AFK Petržalka's Dávid Strelec. But to his dismay, Dávid Strelec quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Garanhão do SUL made a substitution. Albano Leizarraga replaced Edgar Costa. Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Sjöö in the 62nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kent Sjöö in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ignatius Casasola saved Garanhão do SUL from getting behind. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Garanhão do SUL's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eduard Ješo was slow to take the kick. During this time AFK Petržalka's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Eduard Ješo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ignatius Casasola quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. AFK Petržalka's Adam Hrdina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Roriz in the 68th minute of play. If Kent Sjöö had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 71 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's Kent Sjöö sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ignatius Casasola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 72 played minutes AFK Petržalka got a freekick which was hit by Silvester Jendrišák. In the 73rd minute, Garanhão do SUL's André Roriz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Kent Sjöö's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ignatius Casasola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 84 minutes into the game, Aloísio Garcez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garanhão do SUL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFK Petržalka the free kick. After a rather tough play, Garanhão do SUL's Aloísio Garcez got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 87thth minute of the game Kent Sjöö who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Kent Sjöö managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFK Petržalka's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kent Sjöö was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Akis Kefallinos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
