Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Adrianinho Hoffmann made the kick off which started today's match. Sérgio Velloso came out of the goal in the 2nd minute to try and stop a shot by Placeres's Belo Olazaran. But to his dismay, Belo Olazaran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Matías Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Pablo Urquia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Placeres's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salmonella the free kick. The supporters of Salmonella booed when Placeres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Urquia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luisinho Barreto shot from long distance after 11 played minutes, a shot that Endira Seron with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. Tito Marroquin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Sérgio Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matías Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Salmonella's zone, Belo Olazaran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio Velloso came out of the goal and Belo Olazaran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Salmonella defense, Belo Olazaran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sérgio Velloso. The Salmonella fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sérgio Velloso should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Placeres's Clemente Lortia got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 38th match minute, Placeres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Lortia to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute Argider Lomas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean Barbosa hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. If Adrianinho Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sérgio Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Argider Lomas in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Argider Lomas to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Placeres's Belo Olazaran dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Sérgio Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Argider Lomas in the 55th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Belo Olazaran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Placeres's supporters rose to their feet, but Belo Olazaran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sérgio Velloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sérgio Velloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Belo Olazaran in the 61st minute. In the 64th minute of the match, Pablo Urquia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sérgio Velloso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 65 minutes into the game, Placeres's Belo Olazaran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sérgio Velloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. Sérgio Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Urquia in the 68th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Tito Marroquin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belo Olazaran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Sérgio Velloso made a huge save. Salmonella's Haroldo Rosa got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Argider Lomas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th match minute, Placeres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tito Marroquin to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Placeres's Sérgio Velloso threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pablo Urquia, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 94 minutes into the match, Salmonella's goalkeeper Sérgio Velloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Belo Olazaran. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Placeres walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
