The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Haslemere FC booed when Olmaroroi fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Ocholla didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute of the match, Zé Cruz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Walter Kiptum saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience was convinced that Mickey Owino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Lando was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. 10 minutes into the game, John Muttendago cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Carlos Lando was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 1-1 became the score in the 14th minute when Pôncio Bastos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. James Gichuki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diamantino Areosa during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 26 minutes into the match, James Gichuki notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Haslemere FC's Carlos Lando. Carlos Lando was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pôncio Bastos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Walter Kiptum made a huge save. After 33rd play minutes John Muttendago shot 3-3, a short shot which went by Carlos Lando and just under the crossbar into goal. After 39 played minutes Haslemere FC got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Correia. In the 40th minute of the match Mickey Owino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Lando showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Miguel Curvelo fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Haslemere FC's protests and gave Miguel Curvelo a yellow card for diving instead. Miguel Curvelo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Olmaroroi fc's Munyoro Mbugi suffered a sore foot after 42 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 42 minutes into the game, Zé Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Haslemere FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olmaroroi fc the free kick. Olmaroroi fc made a substitution. Elijah Owino replaced Munyoro Mbugi. Carlos Lando didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mickey Owino went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 3-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Cruz to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Moses Ongao had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Lando. Haslemere FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moses Ongao was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-5. In the 54th play minute Mickey Owino came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Carlos Lando. 3-6. Tadeu Meneses received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Walter Kiptum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Olmaroroi fc's goal looked a bit too open when Pôncio Bastos came free, but Walter Kiptum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute of the match Henrique Correia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Walter Kiptum showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Olmaroroi fc's goal looked a bit too open when Pôncio Bastos came free, but Walter Kiptum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haslemere FC's Zé Cruz got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olmaroroi fc's Walter Kiptum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alão Ganete in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Gichuki in the 77th minute of play forced Haslemere FC's goalkeeper Carlos Lando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Richard Ocholla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Muttendago's late challenge caught a Haslemere FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John Muttendago helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st match minute, Olmaroroi fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Muttendago to maneuver through the defense. Olmaroroi fc's Walter Kiptum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pôncio Bastos in the 86th minute of play. During the 89th minute of the match Zé Cruz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Zé Cruz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 90th minute, Zé Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Haslemere FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Magno Nascimento hit a great ball. The Haslemere FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Olmaroroi fc's performance. The match ended with a win for Olmaroroi fc.
