Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zé Cruz started the match with the kick off. Ruperto Norino did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Carlos Lando 5 minutes into the match. After 7 minutes, Henrique Correia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Haslemere FC and the San Marcos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Haslemere FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Henrique Correia hit a great ball. Ruperto Norino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Carlos Lando when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 11th minute Zé Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Betadur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Lando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Porfiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 minutes Haslemere FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Melchor Tanio who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Haslemere FC booed when San Marcos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Chus didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Arsenio Asteri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Carlos Lando was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Haslemere FC's Diamantino Areosa got a free kick in the 35th minute. Emiliano Betadur came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Haslemere FC's Alão Ganete. But to his dismay, Alão Ganete quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. 42 minutes into the match, Haslemere FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Norino came free, but Carlos Lando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ruperto Norino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruperto Norino in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Lando saved Haslemere FC from getting behind. Emiliano Betadur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emílio Bastos in the 60th minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Pôncio Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haslemere FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pôncio Bastos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emiliano Betadur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Esteban Cilio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Marcos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Haslemere FC the free kick. Esteban Cilio hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the San Marcos FC defense, Pôncio Bastos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emiliano Betadur. The San Marcos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emiliano Betadur should have stopped the shot. In the 77th minute, Diamantino Areosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruperto Norino in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Lando saved Haslemere FC from getting behind. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Haslemere FC! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tadeu Meneses during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. San Marcos FC's Emiliano Betadur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Cruz in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Ruperto Norino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Lando was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-3. Emiliano Betadur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Diamantino Areosa could shoot a difficult shot in the 98th minute, which Emiliano Betadur however easily saved by the left post. Haslemere FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
