Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Antony Galloway started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Preston AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mustapha Asma to maneuver through the defense. Antony Galloway recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Preston AFC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Bellemou Sellal hit a great ball. Jools Walton might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Belaid Zitouni. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jools Walton ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Preston AFC booed when Dakar SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quentin Paine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roger Arrowsmith fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belaid Zitouni having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Arrowsmith in the 26th minute of play forced Preston AFC's goalkeeper Belaid Zitouni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hamid Azem got free with Toby Grainger in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Olly May sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Preston AFC's Mustapha Asma got a free kick in the 30th minute. Antony Galloway struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Belaid Zitouni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dakar SC. In the 32nd match minute, Preston AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bellemou Sellal to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Antony Galloway had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Belaid Zitouni. Preston AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antony Galloway was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Preston AFC's Belaid Zitouni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Arrowsmith in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Roger Arrowsmith hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Camel Bessou made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bellemou Sellal during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Preston AFC's Bellemou Sellal got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Jools Walton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toby Grainger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamid Azem in the 55th minute of play. In the 58thth minute of the game Hamid Azem who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dakar SC's Toby Grainger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Belaid Zitouni was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Roger Arrowsmith showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 60 minute of play. With a little luck, Preston AFC's Belaid Zitouni got control of the ball when Antony Galloway tried to sneak it across the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Dakar SC's goal looked a bit too open when Mustapha Asma came free, but Toby Grainger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toby Grainger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camel Bessou in the 67th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, Preston AFC's Camel Bessou nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Toby Grainger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Phillip Lancaster kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute Hamid Azem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toby Grainger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 played minutes Dakar SC got a freekick which was hit by Roger Arrowsmith. Toby Grainger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camel Bessou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Roger Arrowsmith came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Dakar SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roger Arrowsmith couldn't finish the play. 84 minutes into the match, Dakar SC's goal looked a bit too open when Mustapha Asma came free, but Toby Grainger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 85 minutes, Ross Beecham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dakar SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ross Beecham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Dakar SC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Quentin Paine hit a great ball. Dakar SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
