After 33 played minutes Dakar SC got a freekick which was hit by Ross Beecham. 34 minutes into the match, Dakar SC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Cruz came free, but Toby Grainger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Haslemere FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rhys Colley came free, but Carlos Lando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Lando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antony Galloway, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Allan Tinker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Lando read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Dakar SC's Toby Grainger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Dakar SC from getting a goal against them. After the first half Dakar SC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Zé Cruz made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Nascimento in the 55th minute of play forced Dakar SC's goalkeeper Toby Grainger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Haslemere FC's zone, Antony Galloway stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Lando came out of the goal and Antony Galloway tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodney Frost could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Carlos Lando made a huge save. Toby Grainger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pôncio Bastos went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Dakar SC's Toby Grainger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emílio Bastos in the 67th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Haslemere FC's zone, Rodney Frost stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Lando came out of the goal and Rodney Frost tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rhys Colley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ross Beecham came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Dakar SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ross Beecham couldn't finish the play. After 94 played minutes Haslemere FC got a freekick which was hit by Magno Nascimento.
