Malvinas's Americo Tome got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Americo Tome put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Kazimierz Cebula. After 38 played minutes Malvinas got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Ortzi. Higinio Ostots made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Trzaskoma in the 44th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Malvinas's Higinio Ostots played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Kaczanek in the 78th minute of play.
