An unexpectedly hard shot by Camel Bessou in the 16th minute of play forced Syzran FC's goalkeeper Adolf Ishbuldin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikita Laskov got free with Belaid Zitouni in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Syzran FC's Nikita Laskov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Belaid Zitouni. That made the score 1-4 after 63 minutes of play. Preston AFC's Belaid Zitouni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolf Parhalin in the 66th minute of play. Abderrahmane Morceli kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match.
