Sergey Arinbasarov charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sergey Arinbasarov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Syzran FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Sergey Arinbasarov hit a great ball. The supporters of Syzran FC booed when Leigh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trevor Featherstone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 37th minute, Rudolf Parhalin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor Oates charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor Oates the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dennis Baker was the one to do the kick off. Adolf Ishbuldin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Baker in the 53rd minute of the match. Adolf Ishbuldin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry Dobson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57 played minutes Leigh got a freekick which was hit by Gary Bilton. Sergey Arinbasarov hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Leigh's Tod Jennings got a free kick in the 60th minute. The supporters of Leigh booed when Syzran FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikhail Chernomazov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd match minute, Leigh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Baker to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Syzran FC's zone, Victor Oates stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolf Ishbuldin came out of the goal and Victor Oates tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikita Laskov got free with Trevor Featherstone in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trevor Featherstone made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Danila Babchenko sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Rudolf Parhalin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Trevor Featherstone was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. In the 78th minute, Barry Dobson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leigh's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Sergey Arinbasarov scored to the left of an out of position Trevor Featherstone, making the score, 0-4. 87 minutes into the match, Leigh's goal looked a bit too open when Gennadiy Nikitin came free, but Trevor Featherstone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Leigh's Trevor Featherstone got control of the ball when Nikita Laskov tried to sneak it across the goal line. The corner led Syzran FC's Mikhail Chernomazov to fire away a dangerous shot which Trevor Featherstone despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Syzran FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Hristofor Aleev hit a great ball. When Dennis Baker came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Leigh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dennis Baker couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Syzran FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
